Library Technician GS-1411-06

This position serves as the main customer service point of contact for the Medical Library Section which is structurally organized under the Education Service.
The incumbent is primarily responsible for the day-to-day functions to include staffing, and performs a wide variety of duties related to acquiring, developing, coordinating, communicating, processing, and transmitting medical information to support the health care system.
The Librarian Technician uses evidence-based practice (EBP) methods for promoting optimal patient care with the ultimate goal of enhanced clinical outcomes and assists with set up clinical information support tools.
Serves as the principal technician for reference and readers' advisory services in the special (medical) library.
Other functions include materials acquisition and procurement, collection organization (both on shelves and electronic), preservation, access, support of automated systems, and tasks related to access and/or dissemination of information.
Assists the Librarian in administering and maintaining the library budget.
Provides full administrative support to the Education Service management team responsible for planning, organizational development, direction, and evaluation of medical center education program.
Monitors and prepares information for reports and statistics for inclusion in National Statistics collected by the Library Network Office (LNO).
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
