Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (Vascular)

Provides Diagnostic Radiologic support/coverage to the Cardiac Cath Unit and the Operating Room for vascular angiographic cases.
Also provides coverage to the Diagnostic section for routine x-ray exams including fluoroscopic and portable exams.
Receives and interprets requests or instructions for procedures.
Review pre-procedure laboratory results and determines if test meet requirements.
Responsible for positioning patients for desired results and shielding patients as appropriate.
Determines technical factors, sets controls and operates equipment.
In addition to operating Cardiac Cath Lab equipment, operates portable C-arms in the operating Room, as well as analog, digital computed radiography (CR) and digital radiography (DR) equipment.
Independently reviews each requisition to assure that the patient history and are of complaint is consistent with the exam requested.
Verifies patient demographic information to be sure it is correct and compatible with the DICOM format that is need to validate patient and exam information so it can be viewed on PACS and electronically stored in the archive system.
Uses a wide variety of computerized equipment such as Computed Radiography (CR), Direct Digital Radiography (DR), Digital Fluoroscopy, Computer Acquisition and port-processing workstations, PACS viewing stations, WEBPACS desk top viewing software, and hospital computer systems such as VISTA and CPRS.
Must be able to work in a surgical type environment where a sterile filed must be maintained.
Independently performs a wide variety of highly specialized exams such as gastric, urology, endoscopic, fluoroscopic and all types of diagnostic x-ray exams.
Maintains all record keeping that is required and takes an active role in the hospital and Radiology QM and safety programs.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
